Wolverine 2 Directors Discussed

While the X-men prequel, X-men Origins: Wolverine, was not the best received movie in the world, a sequel has been in production since last year and now 20th Century Fox has begun the long task of finding a director that will hopefully bring a better take on the franchise.
According to ThePlaylist.com, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves and Man on Fire director Tony Scott are the two most discussed names over at Fox. Other less likely candidates include Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker)and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted). However, due to numerous scheduling conflicts it appears that the job may indeed fall into Reeves's hands.
Wolverine 2 will follow the clawed mutants violent trip to Japan and his mastering of Japanese martial arts. The script, adapted from the comic written by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont, was written by Christopher McQuarrie.

Battleship Yamamoto Trailer

When it comes to classic anime sci-fi, there are few more beloved then the classic Toho's ( the same company that brought you Gojira and The Seven Samurai)Battleship Yamamoto. Following the efforts of a crew of a mighty space warship modeled after a WWII battleship, the series is a cult classic. Like any classic from the late 1900's, Yamamoto is now getting a big budget live action redux, and might I say I'm excited. Honestly, look at that. Best sci-fi epic I've seen in years. Finally, SPACE BATTLES!

Death Kappa Trailer

It's been a while since we had a good old fashion kaiju film. You know, two guys in corny monster suits fighting it out in a miniature city? Death Kappa looks to promise just that. Made as a joint venture between Tokyo Shock and Fever Dreams Japan, the film, directed by Tomoo Haraguchi, follows the rampage of a gigantic kappa, a creatue from Japanese folklore. The film looks to be an old fashioned kaiju rampage filled with poor actiom, bad special effects, and a rediculous plot. Count me in.

New Studio Ghibli Film!

Greetings and felicitations, ladies and gentlemen of the Internet! This is kind of different from what I normally write, but I'm a huge Studio Ghibli fan, so I wanted to share this with all of you.
Anime News Network announced that Studio Ghibli is making a new film, Karigurashi no Arrietty, that is to open on July 17, 2010 in Japan. Ghibli's co-founder, Hayao Miyazaki, will not be directing this film. Making his directorial debut with this project is 36-year-old animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi.
The film is based on the award-winning novel by Mary Norton, The Borrowers. The Borrowers tells the story of the Clock family, tiny people who live under the floorboards of an English country house and the adventures they have.
This sounds like a pretty good movie, and I can't wait for it to come out in America.
Well, until next time!

Cool Little Thing-Kaiju Halloween Costume

Hey Everyone,
Luke and I were discussing this today. So I thought I'd share it with you all.
If you've just crapped yourself out of kaiju related awesomeness. I rest my case.
