Even though Guild Wars was was not the best of games, one can not deny that ArenaNet didn't try something new and risky with Guild Wars. Among many changes to the design of the average MMO, it had one one feature, or lack of a feature, that stood out the most: no monthly fees.

And now, ArenaNet is building its next MMO, Guild Wars 2. I must say, it is looking damn sexy. Guild Wars 2 is featuring persistent worlds, dynamic events, beautiful graphics, branching, personal storylines, and pet sharks.
