Michael Bay Sent to Area 51
With the Transformers franchise rounding out production later this year, it appears that the master of explosions Micheal Bay has begun searching for a new project.
According to Heat Vision, Bay has put his sites on a new science fiction project written by newcomer Bobby Glickert. This new project has been referred to as a mix between Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity, and will feature Area 51 as a plot point. Bay will produce the project along with Paranormal Activity 2 producer Steven Schneider.

Wolverine 2 Directors Discussed
While the X-men prequel, X-men Origins: Wolverine, was not the best received movie in the world, a sequel has been in production since last year and now 20th Century Fox has begun the long task of finding a director that will hopefully bring a better take on the franchise.
According to ThePlaylist.com, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves and Man on Fire director Tony Scott are the two most discussed names over at Fox. Other less likely candidates include Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker)and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted). However, due to numerous scheduling conflicts it appears that the job may indeed fall into Reeves's hands.
Wolverine 2 will follow the clawed mutants violent trip to Japan and his mastering of Japanese martial arts. The script, adapted from the comic written by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont, was written by Christopher McQuarrie.

Super 8 Mystery Thickens

However, Abrams himself has reported to New York Magazine that the project is actually completely unrelated to his earlier hit. This only furthers the mystery regarding this highly anticipated project.

JJ Abrams Next Secret Project Super 8 (Tied to Cloverfield?)
JJ Abrams is a man who thrives off mystery. Seen most obviously in his creations such as Fringe and Lost Abrams plays with the viewers mind. This is perhaps most obvious in his giant monster film Cloverfield. Cloverfield, itself a mystery, was built on a minimalist and cryptic marketing campaign that enthralled fans throughout the internet. Abarms now looks to reignite this with the release of his equally cryptic Super 8. Super 8 is reportedly the codename for Abrams's tease attached to Iron Man 2, which premiers this Friday. Sound familiar? Cloverfield's initial trailer premiered before Transformers in 2007. Little is known about this movie, but there are numerous rumors that it is tied to Cloverfield. Super 8 supposedly follows a group of children who shoot a short film on their video camera, but later find that in the background is a mysterious alien creature. We'll keep you posted as the mystery unfolds.
