When Astro City first launched in 1995 it was a massive critical success. The story revolving around several a typical superheroes fending off even stranger supervillains won numerous awards and captured the minds of a rather avid fanbase.

Deadline Hollywood announced today that movie studio Working Title has bought the rights for the acclaimed series for an upcoming movie adaptation. The script will be written by one of the co-creators of the original comic series Kurt Busiek.
