A true cult classic is about to be born...I give you..Sharktopus! SyFy Channel has once again teamed up with Roger Corman to be bring us a new overly cheesy monster film.

Plus it has a really catchy themesong.

Remember that D-list monster film I was praising back in March? Well it's release date is drawing ever closer. Dinocroc vs. Supergator is scheduled to premiere June 26th on the SyFy channel. If these clips prove anything, this is sure to be one awfully fun film. Seriously, this film has it all. Awful acting, terrible special effects, bland dialogue, and of course rediculous kills.

So yes. I got the name for the feature wrong last week. But aren't you proud? I've actually been able to keep working on this feature each week for three weeks in a row! This is a new record of AC! Well anyways, here's my top favorite web videos of the week. Some are old, and some are new, but regardless, their just plain awesome.



1. Scary Mary

Scary Mary by moviemkr is perhaps the best testament of how clever editing and music choice and completely transform an innocent movie into something very sinister. Easily the best video I've seen in a while.

2. Lost-Rick Roll

Lost is in its final season. About time it got subjected to old internet memes. Lost has fallen victim to the Rick Roll, and its quite funny.


3. Mega Pirahna

You thought Megashark vs. Giant Octopus was bad? Asylum Movies is prepared to blow their own creation of awfulness out of the water. Megapirahna looks to be on of the craziest, and worst produced movies of all time. Airing on SyFy this weekend, Megapirahna is poised to take the internet by storm.

And here we go, even more Corman craziness! Now we have two absurd crocodillians eating numerous people and fighting it out. Honestly, when it comes to cheesy creature flicks Roger Corman never ceases to disappoint, and of coures we have SyFy Channel to thank fot the insanity. No release date yet, but I'll be waiting eagerly for the day this atrocity graces my television screen.

As release date nears, we get more and more hype for Bioware's newest magnum opus. Syfy is now airing a special for the game due out on the 19th. We have a short clip of it below. Looks pretty interesting if you ask me, even if it is just one long commercial.

So several weeks ago, there was this awesome miniseries on SyFy called Alice. And being the huge fan of Alice in Wonderland that I am, naturally I had to check it out.

Oh. My. God.

I was blown away by this miniseries. And that's saying something, since the miniseries in question is coming from SyFy, whose material is often best-described as...how to put this gently....subpar. I also sampled another "re-vamping" from SyFy's vaults, Tin Man. All I can say for that miniseries is this... would someone please send Dorothy back to Kansas already?

Alice, well, this one was different. It was witty, interesting, suspenseful, exciting, and boy oh boy, was it visually dynamic.

Alice tells the story of a girl named (take a wild guess) Alice. So her boyfriend, Jack (a pretty-boy with no personality) comes over for dinner, and then he gets kidnapped after trying to give Alice a ring. Alice sees him getting kidnapped and follows after this freaky guy with pigtails and a white suit and falls into a mirror in a building under construction (...why is a mirror in a building under construction in the first place?). So she falls and falls and falls and then SPLASH! it's into a huge lake for her. So she swims to shore, meets a creepy little guy who catches rats, and he takes her to meet a guy named Hatter (OMG OMG OMG!!!! HE IS SO KICKASSLY HOTT!). He says that he can help her find her boyfriend, and the adventure begins!

I won't give away any more because you have to watch it for yourselves.

I enjoyed this miniseries immensely. In fact, I think I had a bit too much fun pointing out all of the little references to the original books. And there were plenty of little references to the original books and universe. For instance, Alice's mother's name is Carol...and Caroll (spelled differently, but what's an extra 'l'?) is the last name of the author (Lewis Caroll, for those who didn't know).

The only real critique I have to make is that there were some points that would not have been understood had you not read the books.

Anyway, so that's about it. WATCH IT! It will blow your mind.
