Despite the track record for video game movie adaptations, Sony Pictures is eager to create a film adaptation to the award winning Uncharted adventure series. The Los Angeles Times reports that Sony met with director David O. Russell (Flirting With Disaster) to discuss a deal for the movie. Sony's enthusiasm for the project is supposedly linked to the well received script penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer. Uncharted is now slated for a summer of 2011 release date.
