Artificial Continuum

The X-Men franchise has been in a state of confusion for the last year. Originally, plans were slated for the creation of a Magneto film, second Wolverine movie, a fourth sequel to the franchise, and another prequel X-men First Class. Now only Wolverine 2 and First Class remain. First Class will follow the early days of the Xavier Institute, and its first recruits including Beast, Cyclops, Jean Gray, and Storm. It was announced earlier this week that director Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass) would helm the project with series veteran Bryan Singer (X-men, X2: X-men United) acting as producer. Singer announced today that the project has entered the casting phase. The film is currently slated for release on June 3, 2011.
