Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer)has signed on for Regency and Summit Entertainment's sci-fi thriller The Darkest Hour. Variety describes the $40 million movie as being in the vain of 28 Days Later, but follows a group of children after Russia is invaded by aliens. The film now has a tentative release date for 2012. Personally, I'm excited.
