It appears that the science fiction genre is in fact making a resurgence in modern film. Today Warner Bros. studios reported to Variety that they have bought Colin Trevorrow's science fiction script World War X. The plot apparently surrounds a group of government agents who are tasked with stopping a time travelling terrorist.

Joe Silver and Andrew Rona are producing with Chris Bender, JC Spink, Alex Heineman and Jake Weiner as executive producers.
