Although not the best made film or the biggest financial success of the season, the science fiction horror film Predators has been considered a success by most of the team involved.

In fact, we may be seeing more the spiderlike aliens in the near future. Last night, Predators producer Robert Rodriguez announced to IGN.com that he and the studio are in fact considering a sequel. As Rodriguez put it, this year's sequel to 1980's cult classic was in many ways designed to test the water for future films in the franchise. With the profitability of future Predators films assured, Rodriguez claims that he has already begun hunting for script ideas that fit his general picture for the future of the franchise. If a sequel will in fact be made, Rodriguez will return to produce but doubts he will direct.
