UPDATE: EA has come out to say that these rumors are completely false, and that we will not see Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age 2 at this year's E3.

A rumor has begun to circulate the web saying that two of Bioware's major franchises will have their next installments showcased at this years E3. The report stems back to an interactive showcase map that Gamespot.com posted for the different developers. Both games were listed under EA's showcase schedule, however no announcement has been made by other sites or by the studios involved.

While it is certainly reasonable to expect a glimpse for Dragon Age 2, which will supposedly be released early next year, it seems strange to get a glimpse at Mass Effect 3 this early into development. Lead designer Casey Hudson even claimed last month that fans will have to wait several more months before the first details regarding the sequel are released.

I guess RPG fans will just have to wait and see if this rumor proves to be true or not.
